Any tips for things to pack for staying in a hotel with kids? My girls are 4 (tomorrowChat Icon) and 17 months and we are planning to stay maybe a few weeks on and off waiting for my sister to have her baby). We've always stayed with family while traveling so this is a first. Thinking pnp for the baby and roll away for the 4yo plus 3 adults. How do I make this bearable? Chat Icon

Ha. We are traveling for the first time with two in a couple of weeks. Dd1 is almost 2yrs10months and dd2 is almost 10 months. Our plan was travel crib (baby bjorn) for baby and bringing a regalo travel cot for dd2 although I fully expect her to be in bed with one of us (our room will have two doubles).

I'm expecting a hot mess.

Re: Hotel tips

What kind of hotel? We always like to book in the suites so there's a separate bedroom and usually one with a complimentary buffet breakfast. If not two queen is fine. The hotel has a crib and sheets you can use. Just bring their fav blanky or stuffed animal. Your 4 year old can sleep on a queen either alone with pillows around and the baby in the hotel crib.
I always bring Wet Ones or Purell wipes to wipe down the crib, phone, remote, etc.

Bring the take and toss sippy cups. Is there a fridge or mini fridge you can use?
Take a mini Palmolive if you need to wash bottles.
Other than that pack the usual clothes, fav toys, coloring books, crayons, activity books, etc.
For my boys I use an old school backpack to put in their toys, playdoh (only time I use it is on vaca and not in my house... LOL), paper, crayons, etc.

ETA - lots of snacks.
Pack their luggage and yours and you're good to go. See what the hotel offers.

We were hoping for adjoining rooms but they are booked so we'll most likely be squashed in one. My sister is 9 months pregnant so she'll get her own bed (she lives too far from the hospital which is why we're all going), my mom and I will have to share so the kids will need their own places to sleep. I'm going to throw the regalo cot in the cat in case they're out of roll aways. There is a pool and breakfast so that's nice and we're trying for a fridge but may not get that.

Going to bring the cot too just in case. Dd sleeps okay in it but not great. In a few weeks I may have some tips for you Chat Icon

If there is a couch, that's a big help for the older kid.
We have the younger in a crib... My 4 year old loves it & sleeps there on vaca.
We now keep our baby on our bed.
The wipe stuff down tip is a good one.
Other than that, enjoy! Kids love adventure!
