How far in advance do you send in the hospital pre registration forms?

My doctor gave me the forms at my 8 week visit, and I returned them at my 12 week visit.

I did mine at my 8 week appointment. They send them over right away in case i ever have to go

I never filled anything out…I'm assuming the Dr's office did it because I got the approval letter in the mail from my insurance company.

Same. My Dr's office took care of everything for me.

I did mine around 14w. It didn't matter anyway, I had to do it all over again when I checked in to deliver.

that reminds me I did have to fill out a bunch of paper work when I went in to deliver...what was the point of the pre-registration then...

Hospital pre registration forms?
I know my doctor sent something to the insurance bc I got the approval letter from them fairly early. I think I filled out preregistration paperwork and brought it the day I did my hospital tour. I definitely didn't have to do any paperwork the day I delivered. That would not have been happening!

Same. My Dr's office took care of everything for me.
Same here. The day I was sent to the hospital to have the baby, I called my insurance company just to make sure and they said that they had everything they needed.

The paper work is for pre registration for the hospital. Completely different then the paper work the doctor does for you to get approval from insurance company.

Same here but I did it around 24 weeks - both times I had to pretty much register when I got there even though I sent the form back.

my form said to do it no earlier than 30 days before EDD. So that is when I faxed it over (fax????  )

Ohhh those! I got them in the mail the week before I was admitted for my induction. I brought them with me to the hospital but never needed them.

I called my insurance company, they just wanted to know when my c section was scheduled, if the hospital needs anything I will fill it out then.
