Hospital bag?
Dont bother with the list.
Pack clothes and toiletries, flip flops. Camera and computer (if you want).
Everything else the hospital will give you. Your DH will be goign home I assume so he can bring you things or visitors can bring things. Plus unless you are having a csection you aren't there very long.

Re: Hospital bag?
I loooove your coming home outfit!
I don't have an official list but I agree that a lot of what I've seen recommended to bring is over the top to me. I'm brining:
-2-3 pairs of comfy sweatpants that would accommodate my belly while prego (it doesn't immediately go away). -2-3 tank tops that can easily be pulled down for nursing -5 pairs of granny panties flip flops -3 pairs of socks, which I probably won't even use -Maybe 10-15 pads -My Boppy, I felt it really helped with BF but not everyone loves it like I do. DH could even bring this for you the second day, that's what we did the first time. -Toiletries -Camera, video camera, chargers -Cell and charger
That's all I can think of right now. I still have to throw this in my bag and I'm almost 38 weeks with my doctor telling me I could "Go at any time now"
. Whoops

wanted to add- always infinity pads! if you don't want to use the big bulky pads the hospital provides.

Re: Hospital bag?
Bring the things you need in your shower at home. (For instance- when I shower I use shampoo, conditioner, body wash, facial cleanser, lotion, qtips). With my 2nd I just bought one of those little travel toiletry kits- It was like $6 and had EVERYTHING- from toothbrush to mouthwash to everything I mentioned above. Bring a few changes of COMFY clothes and extra undies. Maybe a light robe. Definitely some slippers
If you are not BFing- bring a few TIGHT sports bras.
I suggest bringing your own maxi pads- the hospital ones are so cumbersome and don't stick.
When I had my 1st- the hospital was SO HOT I had DH bring me the little nursery fan
Oh- bring a towel! The ones the hospital had were teeny tiny.
I don't remember what else was on the list- but the first time- I brought everything and wound up not using half of it (including the snacks for DH- he would just get his own food)
Baby book!
ETA: In case you wind up needing a csection- I would get a pack of Granny Panties too.

Hospital bag?
I just had at LIJ and the only thing I needed was my own pajamas/clothes (tops, bottoms, sports bras and socks) and flip flops.
They supplied towels, which were big, but a little scratchy. Toiletries,, which weren't the best but were fine. A tooth brush and toothpaste which again wasn't great but worked. Pads, which stuck just fine and aren't SUPER big and bulky, they like a normal pad. Mesh underwear which for me were comforrable because i didnt want anything pushing on my helly because it was sore. The pillows weren't great but I used more then one and it was fine.

Re: Hospital bag?
Love the outfit! Very cute!!
My bag is pretty simple...
Yoga pants Tanks Nursing bras Boyshort undies Robe Socks Flip flops
Camera/Charger iPad/Charger Phone Charger
And then any toiletries I use on a regular basis, a bag of O/N pads and one towel in case the one at the hospital is awful. I will also bring my hair dryer. I'd rather have it and not use it than not have it and wish I brought it.
The only thing I still have to throw in there is the cord blood banking kit.

Re: Hospital bag?
You will hardly use a thing. Bring basic toiletries that you would use at home, some mints and gum, baby's take home outfit and some comfy clothes for you. Other than that, you need nothing. Honestly, I packed so much when I had my DD and it was overkill. I do recommend bringing your own pillow..........the hospital pillows weren't great and I sleep better when I have my own from home.

Hospital bag?
I highly recommend bring a long cardigan or robe if you're planning on wearing the hospital gowns. Its also great for covering up a little when you're nursing.
