Honest opinions please!
What do you think of my tattoo? There is a pic in my album (tattoo). I wasn't sure how to put it on this post. It has my kids initials, but not exactly what I thought it would look like. What does it look like to you? Tia!

Im not a fan of color, because over time it fades. I really couldnt make out the letters.
Do you like it? If so, thats all that matters.

Sorry. I did not get what all the letters were. I assume you're posting bc you're not happy. I can sympathize. I have 5 tattoos and one of them I really don't like. I'm not sure what happened with mine. Looked nice as a sketch, lol. I just don't look at it haha. Maybe I'll get it removed one day when I have a little more time on my hands!

At first glance, it looked like a burn. Pinks and reds on skin tone sometime don't translate well without a distinct border. Are you able to maybe add some contrast to it?

Honestly, I like the idea of it but it looks like the detail and shading/coloring is way off. I dont really understand where the artist was going with the background on it. I think maybe a more experienced tattoo artist can definitely work with it and retouch it.

I think even if you add an outline and eliminate the whole watercolor look, it will make a difference.

agreed - the colors are all too close to each other and blend in with your skin so you need something to define the star from the background (i'm not sure what the background is supposed to be either)
I can't read the letters at all, but that seems to be an issue with the font style.
Was it what you asked for and saw on the sketch?

the colors are so similar that they become muddled. it's not sharp enough and the letters are not clear and they should be, That being said...it doesn't look like the tattoo is heavily saturated and doesn't have much black / outlining so if you go to someone else who has more experience they should be able to fix it easily

Thanks so much for all your responses. You touched on all my concerns. I contacted the owner of the shop and she says she will fix it free of charge. I only hope it won't make it worse. My first tattoo sucks

I would not go back to where you originally had it done. I would find someone who is good at fixing it. The colors blend into your skin and it looks like a bad sunburn or a birthmark from the photo. I am sorry that you are unhappy. Someone who is a professional tattoo artist should have let you know that the colors you chose would not work with your complexion.

I was going to say the same thing....fixing a tattoo is MUCH harder than doing it the first time. Go to someone else, someone MCUH more experienced. Correcting tattoos is another art in and of itself. DO NOT go back to the person who did this. I can almost guarantee they do not have the experience necessary to correct it. I have a GREAT GREAT GREAT tattoo artist that I use religiously. FM me if you want his info.
