I should start calling around to get quotes

we just got quotes yesterday from geico and progressive. you can do progressive online. geico is over the phone - it takes a while bc they ask a ton of questions, so just be prepared!

some insurance companies will give you quotes online, but it is probably best to call and speak to a real person.
They are going to ask you a ton questions about the house (square footage, # rooms, alarm system, proximity to a fire hydrant, etc) just be prepared.
We use Nationwide, but I would first try the insurance company where you have your auto insurance, sometimes they will offer a discount if you have more than one policy.

OMG I am on the phone with Gieco now , shoot me in the face  it's been 30 minutes already
