Home health aid?
We are looking to have someone come in and help my grandmother out a few days a week do shopping, help her around the house etc. Can you recommend an agency you have used or heard good things about?

Initially my mom got a recommendation from our church's outreach office. It was a lady from our parish who was looking for PT work. Then when my grandmother required more care she got referrals of agencies and eventually of nursing homes from Catholic Charities.

Where are you/your grandma located? We had a wonderful woman who worked with my grandmother before she went into Hospice.

just wanted to let you know that i heard that churches have people that do this type of stuff, go to houses and help out others. i beleive there is no charge they get paid by the church, or they charge a very small fee. might be cheaper than a health aid

My mom used to work for Utopia home health care. I know that there is an office on main street (25A) Kings Park, just west of the KP High School
