Holiday toy donations

Does anybody know if there's going to be a toy donation thread this year? My kids look forward to this all year!

Yes, we do that also, but I was wondering if we were doing the one through LIF also. Just wanted to see before I donated other places. Thanks!

I do this every year! I can't wait to get my letters this year. Some years have been so heartbreaking. Kids asking for essentials like warm bedding or a coat. I always try to send some sort of a toy with those requests (without spending too much $).

Thank you for posting this. I just Googled the information and signed up to purchase a gift for a child. Excited to get my letter in the mail and to start shopping!

Yeah, we got 3 letters this year, 2 of the kids asked for backpacks and lunchbags for school. So we bought those also but didn't include in the gift money allocation, because it's just so sad that a kid would ask for that for a gift.

I have been giving for about 20 years now to John Thiessen Fund. He gives to sick kids at Long Island hospitals.

Chat Icon that is sad. It's so nice that you're getting them additional stuff too.

It really warms my heart that we can help but it makes me so sad that these kids live in a reality where they have to hope to get these items for Christmas.

I hope they get enough people this year. I know other years they've had too many letters and not enough people sign up.

If anyone is interested in adopting two boys (an 11 year old and an 8 year old), I can give you their address (they live in MI). Their mother is struggling to buy basics like toilet paper, so I know they can use the help for Christmas Chat Icon (this is a family member...not a random story I read on the internet FYI)

I think this got buried under all the political posts. I already signed up for winter wishes so I wouldn't be able to send a bunch of stuff but I would be able to send something. Just FM me the info. Chat Icon
