Holiday gifts for daycare teachers?

Whats the going rate for holiday gifts for day care teachers? DD is 7 months, goes to day care full time. We are really happy with the teachers and Im thinking ahead to holiday budgeting. There are 2 teachers that split the class now, so we'd like to give something to each of them. But she was also in the younger class for 2 months when she first started so I'd like to get something for those 2 teachers also. Do I give all 4 girls the same amount? (2 past teachers & 2 current teachers?) Cash or gift card? If yes, whats the going rate? Thanks for any suggestions!

i would like to know this too! DS has 3 main teachers throughout the day, but there is usually a 4th floating in and out. it's always different though. should I worry about getting the floater something? i'm thinking just the 3 main teachers and maybe some candy for the others? I was also thinking maybe a $25 gift card for each or should i do $50?

I only give to her main teachers.
If it's one teacher I give $100 gift card.
If it's two teachers who split the room (which happened one year) I give $75 each.

Usually an AMEX type gift card so they can use it anywhere.

Thanks, What about her 2 previous teachers? She was in their class approx 2 months, but they are still around, we see them in the morning & at night. Maybe $25 or $50 gift cards for them also?

Head teacher $100 GC, other one $75 GC.

Two past teachers I'd do $25 GC - she was only there for 2 months.

We did a breakfast last year for the entire daycare and plan to do it again this year. Bagels, muffins, pastries, oatmeal, coffee, tea,juice, the works. There are just way too many teachers between my two kids, Head teacher, assistanst, then like 4 -6 helpers through the day for each kids classroom, I would be broke if I bought each one an individual gift. They totally appreciate getting food!!!!

My daughters go to private school. My younger one has 3 teachers. I'm thinking the main teacher will get $50 and the rest $25. For my other daughter, I think she has one and she will get $75.

Umm im cheap I guess. I do Maybe $50 for the head teacher, $25 for assistant. Then just something like ornaments for the afterschool folks. I used to give a bottle of wine to the director but we aren't on speaking terms.

Her teacher said something about when she was small she wanted to grow up to be a CEO and NOT a teacher.. (both her parents are teachers) yet here she is and she loves. it. I want to take that for a spin somehow in her gift.

Every teacher at the center gets a gift form our family. At some point of every day, they are working with my children.

i give $100 to the head teacher, $50 to the assistant and $10-25 to the floaters
