holiday decorating
What kind of decorating does everyone do for the holidays?? Going to Homegoods tonight to exchange a mirror I bought and i want to pick up some holiday decor. I don't think i'll do Halloween decorations; but i will find some fall looking center piece or faux florals to put around the house to make it look for seasonal
Jus wondering what everyone else is doing!

Re: holiday decorating
We don't decorate for Halloween either. But I hang an autumn wreath on the door, pumpkins on the stoop and put some autumn touches throughout the 1st floor in the house.

Re: holiday decorating
I only decorate for Christmas and we are not sure if we are even going to do that this year since we won't be home for the holiday.
Personally I would rather spend my money on other things. Maybe once I have kids, I'll change my mind.

Re: holiday decorating
oh i love decorating! we only have an apartment right now, so i have to stop myself from buying when i go out. right now i have fall and halloween mixed in together, mainly in the living/dining room area- flowers on the table, pumpkins, ghosts, etc on the book shelf and end tables. i also have a small table runner and fall candles on the coffee table, and a fall candy dish, smelly cinnamon and pine cones in a vase in the bathroom and a wreath on the door. i put halloween lights in the window too! i have a few turkeys i'll put out in november! and that's just for the fall!
i love kohls, homegoods/marshalls and target for decorating!

Re: holiday decorating
i don't have an explosion of decorations for "smaller" holidays like halloween, thanksgiving etc as i do for christmas... but i definitely do some decorating. i like autumn decorations that can go from halloween to thanksgiving - like i have an autumn leaves wreath for the front door, or some pumpkin decorations for the interior, autumn leaves dining room table runner etc - but we do also have distinct halloween and thansgiving decorations. we've gotten a lot of things from terrysvillage.com

Re: holiday decorating
This is our first Halloween in our house so I am excited to decorate a bit! Not crazy...but we got some gels for the windows and a couple of tombstones for the front lawn. They were about $7 each at Target. For Chirstmas we will put up lights and we were given some giant snowmen that light up. Nothing crazy but I want to be festive!
