Re: Hip pain
Yes, every day.
For awhile the Snoogle helped me ... but now it doesn't anymore. I'm just in pain, all the time.
So, I literally feel your pain.

Re: Hip pain
I have that when I'm sleeping (on my side) and quite often when I get up from lying down on my side. I've had it really since I started sleeping and lying on my sides and it's just gotten worse as time has gone by. Sometimes it last for hours after I get up and if I stand the wrong way I almost fall over. It's really not much fun. I'm 36 weeks at this point and I'm counting down the days!

Re: Hip pain
I feel your pain literally. I stated something to my OB yesterday and they stated it's because that is where the majority of the baby's weight is laying currently. It's my right side. She stated there wasn't much I could do.

Re: Hip pain
The Snoogle has been helping me sleep a lot...but I dont feel it as much when I lay down. Its mostly when I walk, or use that leg to climb stairs.
I'm sorry you are in the same pain!

Re: Hip pain
I had that and was diagnosed by a physiatrist with an "unstable SI joint". If you look that up, you may find some info on other options to alleviate the pain. It's fairly common with PG women.
For me, physical therapy twice a week has helped with this and other issues I've been having. Just know that it all changes as the baby grows and moves around.....sometimes for the better!

Re: Hip pain
Oh yes!
I had this sooo bad around week 19 and 20. It lasted 2 weeks.
It was so bad that I couldn't walk, sit, stand, lay down, etc. I couldn't stand up straight at all. It literally felt like my muscles were being ripped away from my bones.
I called the dr's office about it. They said it's a bad case of round ligament pain. They instructed me to try to walk through it (yea that really wasn't too dooable I'll be honest). She also told me to drink extra water AND most important to get the maternity belt thing and to wear it ALL THE TIME except when sleeping.
I got the belt. And literally the second it was delivered, the pains stopped for me. I'm assuming they might come back when I go through another "growth spurt". She said it's the growing and stretching that causes it.
My pains were only in one side; she also said that it's common to only have this on one side.
I would say to call the nurse if you are worried. I'm pretty sure it's the same thing I had. For some people it doesn't go away. Others it goes and comes. I think the belt might help you.
Good Luck and Feel Better.
