Re: Highlights??
I have. They just say to wait until you're into your 2nd trimester.

Re: Highlights??
I got them throughout my entire first pregnancy and ad no problems. This time around I have only got my hair colored, and they say to wait til your 2nd trimester for that.

Re: Highlights??
I completely dyed my hair red all the way up to the roots - not highlights - complete single process. I did it 2 times during my pregnancy and everything was fine!
My dr. said it was completely ok....

Re: Highlights??
my doctor didnt really say to go or not go so i waited till i was 12 weeks preggos and had my roots done (i just needed a touch up anyay), I have not gone since (i am 31 weeks) just b/c its my preference, but i will go one more time 3 weeks before the baby is due, so this way i dont have to worry about my hair for a couple month after the baby is born

Re: Highlights??
I got highlights at 6 weeks and many times since then. No problems so far. Highlights don't touch your scalp, so there is really no problem. My Dr. said it is fine.

Re: Highlights??
My heart dropped when my doctor told me no coloring last week. The greys seem to be coming on faster than ever and I am sooo sad about it. I am going to wait a few more weeks and then I am heading in for a highlight. My best friend is a beautician and said she'd do it for me..I love her..because I don't think I can deal with these greys much longer..I am about to pull a britney!!

Re: Highlights??
I am going to get them in a couple weeks along with a single process. I had an appt this past Saturday but I felt guilty so I cancelled it. I am trying to wait until it looks really bad - plus, I havent seen my real hair color in a really long time. It will be nice to see it again. although I am so gray its gettimg depressing!

Re: Highlights??
Each Dr has a different view on this. Def talk to you Dr & see what's best for you.
That being said, not only did the smell nearly kill me, but my hair did not take to the bleach as well with all the PG hormones, so be aware that might happen as well.
I dyed it back to brown

Re: Highlights??
Highlights are safe throughout the entire pregnancy because it doesn't touch the scalp. Go for it!
