Hiding your baby bulge
I am 9w1d. As of yesterday, my baby bump is starting to show slightly. Today, someone from work who knows I'm preggers pulled me aside and said "you are starting to show." I'm not planning on announcing to my entire job that I'm pregnant until I'm 12-13 weeks, but I don't know if I can hide it for much longer! The good thing is that it is cold out, so I wear my winter coat all day. But I get so hot! I try to wear bulky sweaters or a jean jacket or something but I feel like people can see!
Any suggestions? Should I just tell everyone?

Re: Hiding your baby bulge
Honestly I'd be surprised if most people could notice your bump this early. Someone may suspect it from other signs and then just think they see your bulge but most people can't see that little bump for a couple of weeks still. I would just wear some loser fitting clothes and try not to show any other signs if you can avoid it.

Re: Hiding your baby bulge
The best thing that hid my bump honestly were baby doll type shirts.
That was the only thing that worked for me!

Re: Hiding your baby bulge
i just went shopping last week and bought a bunch of cute shirts, some are baby doll style, some are just blousy near the waist, and they hide it really well - but IMO, people at my office (because they gossip A LOT) are just going to think i am hiding something. if they ask, i'll admit to being preggo.

Re: Hiding your baby bulge
I left my scarf on and had it hang in front of my belly as a distraction. I also used to try and carry something in front of me (like a folder) if I was walking around or in front of other people. But, if your job is like my job, people are always looking for an excuse to talk!!! One person asked me if I was pregnant, and I told her she was rude. "If I am pregnant, and I haven't told you, then I'm not ready to tell people. When I'm ready to tell people, you will know!"
Good luck!

Re: Hiding your baby bulge
I started to show early. They was no hiding until I was 12 weeks. It was too obvious. People stopped me at 10-11 weeks to ask when I was due.

Re: Hiding your baby bulge
OMG I said the SAME exact thing yesterday. I am 9w5d. I don't think I will be able to wait until 12 or 13 weeks but another week or so at least.

Re: Hiding your baby bulge
I'm showing early as well. Honestly, I have the same problem with trying to hide my belly. its not easy. The good thing is that babydoll shirts are the style this year. The bad news is that they tend to make people loo pregnant even when they aren't. The only thing I can say is that your going to eventually show. People may notice, but what can you do? Your pregnant. Even though you dont want the world to know just yet, it is something to be really proud of.
I am 12 weeks, so I plan on telling my boss within the next week or so. I cant hide it anymore, so I really have no choice.
