Hi My Dear TTC'ers!
Some of you already know but I got my BFP on December 30th. I hesitated to post here because life has been so chaotic lately that I haven't been on here much and I didn't want to be that girl that just comes on and posts a BFP with little to no history.
I do however, want to share some of my experiences with you in hopes that they might inspire or help you a bit.
We tried for one year exactly. Actually concieved on our one year mark. It was a LONG and stressful year and I personally, convinced myself that it wasn't worth it when in fact it is!
I know that the road is long and hard but please stay strong girls because miracles happen and babies are made. It's just that simple. We aren't the ones that decide, something or someone else does for us and for as long as we have hope and believe, I am convinced (now) that it can happen for each and every one of us.
It's painful, there is no doubt about it but I am happy that I stuck with it, even after quitting for a month.
Here is what I did....
- I charted on FertilityFriend.com *I highly recommend the VIP membership because it helped me keep track even when I didn't want to keep track. It was simple to use and kept back dated records which helped.
- I took my temp for 4 months just to ensure that I was ovulating and then that was really throwing me for a loop so I quit doing that.
- I took Prentals daily from the day I took my last BCP.
- DH wore only boxers for this year.
- I didn't tell people I was trying. This was a personal choice for me and I am not sure if I will go this route again. You girls knew and DH and I knew and my Best Friend. My parents and family did not know and I thought it would be better because the stress level was lower and I am a bit on the fence with this one. I think maybe if I talked about it, they would have encouraged me and made me feel better. After ever BFN, I would cry and cry and cry and DH was the only one I could really cry to and it took a toll on us both because neither one of us knew what to say that hadn't already been said. I might wait a little while to tell next time but not until the day I get my BFP. My parents thought we just didn't want babies right now when in fact, it is all we wanted.
- I took Primrose Oil daily and Fish Oil along with Vitamin B12.
- DH was scheduled for a Sperm Analysis on January 7th which he never made it to and I was then going to have all of my tests done. My Gyno kept pushing me off to a year and after the year mark, he would then follow protocol. I am grateful for that too although, I would have liked to know sooner, I didn't want to do all the lab work if I didn't have to this time.
- "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" taught me so much! I highly recommend it!
Good Luck Ladies! I say a prayer for all of you every single night and I sincerely hope to see you all on the Pregnancy Board on the other side. For right now, please pray for sticky dust for us and know that I am here for anything any of you might need. Anything I know or have is for your benefit too!

As a long time TTC poster I know how hard you were trying for this.
