Hi ! I'm new here and have a ??

Hi! This is my first time posting. My husband and I are just starting our journey with TTC this month.

I just had a question about testing with OPK's. I've read that it is good to test between 2pm and 8pm but I purchased CVS OPK and it says to test with first morning urine which contradicts what I've read elsewhere.

What are your thoughts on this?

it will answer a lot of your questions.

basically, LH does not show up in your urine until a few hours after your surge, and most women surge in the morning. so if you test in the morning, you can either miss your surge, or else catch the tail end of it (if you surged the day before) and miss out on an extra day to BD. therefore, you should not test with FMU unless you absolutely have to. ideally, you should test after holding your urine for 3-4 hours, and don't drink too much liquids, or that can dilute your urine.

ETA- i have done OPK's in the AM and PM and have always gotten a result regardless of the time on the days i O'd

Im using CBE OPK and on the box it said it doesnt matter what time of the day you use it.
