Hi Everyone
This past Sunday I got a BFP (3x). I tested just to "make sure".
I sometimes post on here and promise to "come out of the closet' after my first appointment on June 8th.
I made sure to set it up right away.
What can I expect at my 1st appt? Im so nervous, so excited.
I get a little naseous here and there and some cramping, which I don't think I should be nervous about but I am!
Knock on wood, no spotting!
I hope you all don't mind me joining. Im going to have tons of questions these next 2 weeks.

Congratulations! Every doctor is different. All I had was the normal "pap" and a pregnancy test. I don't know if they would have taken it further if this didn't happen, but my test came back light so I went in 2 weeks later for a sonogram. A lot of girls get bloodwork to check levels but I never did at my ob's office. I don't think they did it at mine. BTW, I think I took about 5 or 6 pt's, lol.

Congrats! At my first appointment they took a urine test (which they will continue to do at every appointment), did a Pap Smear and gave me an internal sonogram to see the hearbeat. It was there they determined i had twins so i went for a higher tech sonogram that confrimed that. Some doctors will only use a doppler to check for a heartbeat so don't get your hopes up that you will get a sonogram.
I also gave them a complete run down of my family history, my medical history, etc. They also go over with you what you should be doing, not eating, etc.
The three weeks i had to wait to see the doctor i took a pregancy test every week to make sure i was still pregnant. LOL.
Also, cramping is very common the first few weeks as the baby starts to make his home in your body. Just make sure there is no spotting.

Congratulations!! Don't be worried about the cramping- as long as there is no spotting it is fine- I had it and so did many other girls.
