He's already picking his nose!
DS is 13 months and just started to put his finger up the one nostril. He doesn't really pick just leaves it up there and then tries to breathe out of it lol. It looks nasty and he does it all the time now. DH told me not to react because it would probably make him do it more so I ignore him. The other day, I notice that his nostril is red from putting his finger there all the time.
Has anyone else gone through this?

YES! DD is almoost 15 months and just started this the other day.
I think they are just discovering things at this age- but yes, it looks gross!

DS has been doing this since he was like 10 months old  He's obsessed with body parts that have holes, lol. Ears, nose, belly button (thankfully nothing else!).

when DS first learned where his nose is he would put his finger up it inside of pointing to it. and if you asked where mommy's nose is, he'd put his finger up my nose. its cute! LOL
but yeah...i catch DS doing it in the car, but he's not really picking...he's exploring. i just make a joke and say...thats jossie grossie!

AJ was fine and didnt care until my Aunt got so annoyed with seeing the bugger that she TOLD my daughter HOW to pick her own nose.
Now you will find my little girl digging for gold and if you tell her no that's not nice, she'll tell you
"Noooo, Auntie say I do it myself!" and she'll pull one out, show it to you and ask you to put it on a tissue for her to see it then throw it away.
School was nice enough to tell me about it too. I said Yes, Auntie taught her, what can I do? *shrug*
