Kieran (13 months) has just figured out how to pick his nose! Oh joy. Chat Icon I'd say about 8 times in the past 24 hours, I have watched him slowly stick his finger up his nose and then slowly grin, obviously quite pleased with this new discovery. Now, don't get me wrong, I KNOW kids will pick their nose, it's inevitable (I work in a preschool, so I see it all day every day!). But I would like him to try and understand that it's not the best choice in the world of what to do with his finger. Every time I see him doing it, I take his finger out and say, calmly, "no, we don't put our fingers in our nose." This seems to have accomplished nothing. I'm wondering- should I just let him go for it now and ignore it, since he's just exploring, and then maybe the phase will pass?
