Hershey Park with a 4 and almost 7 yr old...

How long would you stay (is 2 nights better than 1 or not needed), where would you stay (thinking the lodge or hotel) and any deals out there? Thinking of doing this last minute in the next week or so. Never been and know nothing! THANKS!

Re: Hershey Park with a 4 and almost 7 yr old...

we went in May for the 3rd time with our 6yo and 3yo.

We stayed 2 nights, bought the 2 day park tix which came out to be a pretty good deal.

We went memorial day weekend, the water park opened the 2nd day of our trip but the weather was nice but not hot, so we spent maybe an hour or 2 there but the water was just too cold.

IMO 2 days is perfect. We got on NEARLY every ride, went on some 2, 3, or 4 times! LOL.

Especially if your kids like water parks and rides, 2 days!

We have never stayed at the Lodge or Hotel, but I hear great things about both.

Once we stayed at Bluegreen Resorts, They have suites very close to the park. WE went with another family and had a 2bed 2 bath with a full kitchen. Which was great. THis past time we stayed at Sleep Inn and Suites, on Allentown Blvd. It was like 10-15 mins away, but was super inexpensive (I think it was like $115 a night) and it included a breakfast. It wasnt anything great (the Breakfast) but it had eggs, waffles, yogurt, cereal, bagels etc, so it saved us from having to take the kids out and shell out more money.

I love HErshey, and both my kids have been talking about it non-stop since we last went!!! Enjoy!

Re: Hershey Park with a 4 and almost 7 yr old...

I am a Hershey pro. Went as a child and a few years in a row now, as well as a few times when I was in my 20s. LOL

Always stay at the Lodge and most recently at the Hotel. Absolutely need 2 nights, we usually stay 3 or 4 nights. We spend 2 days at the park and one night (preview night). Loads of things to do at the hotel or lodge.

The Lodge and Hotel are very different, price wise and in other aspects. Which one seems to appeal to you? Is price an issue b/c the Hotel is higher priced but has a PHENOMENAL pool.

Love Hershey!
