Actually- most of the orignal cast members have pretty much drifted off into the background- except for the character each show focuses on. We haven't even seen much of Jack or Locke or Kate.
I can't wait until the tailies meet up with the other castaways.

Well how would Echo know what the "others" meant.
The man who was killed was one of the tailies- thats how Echo knew his name. I think he was killed by the Others.

I am going to sit back and wait until the board theory people come up with all the secret stuff that I ALWAYS miss
Because truthfully I was REALLY concentratin on this episode (since DH was not here to distract me) and I saw a whole lot of nothing.. no symbolism, no numbers, nothing odd. .nothing!
Unless Don is onto something he says that the guy that Sun was dating looked familiar

remember that conversation that jin had with mr. echo and echo was asking him if he was married?
then jin asked echo and echo said "i was"
i have a feeling that's gonna play a part later on in the story
my guesses
1. he married locke's love interest (katey sagal)
2. he married jack's ex wife
i'm trying to make a tie-in here.

I read something recently that the creators have said that while a LOT of main characters are intertwined in their backstories, a LOT of them have nothing to do with each other as well.
I love trying to figure out the connections and such, but I do think that it goes a little overboard .. so we all sit here and try to figure out "ok who is this guy related to or who did this lady cross paths with" but in the end, there is no connection at all
MEANWHILE .. Shelly, I was just telling Don. I went onto a message board last night and WITHOUT even putting SPOILER on it, someone had posted the SECRET that you told Don and MOe yesterday  OH well, so much for that

I agree Felicia- I think having their lives all so intertwined makes it a little false. Now there are plenty of people who we have a friend in common from different parts of our lives- but to have encountered with everyone directly- it makes it too false.
BTW: Props to whoever notice that Sun lost her ring last week. Good eye!!

OK not really a SPOILER below... but I figured I'd warn ya nonetheless
For all my fellow "LOSTIES" who don't want to wait 3 weeks for at least some "scenes" from the next episode.... seems they have posted "still shots" from the next episode on one of the media sites... (the first bunch of pics, then it goes back to older episodes)

EPISODE 6 ...... "ABANDONED"
LOST - "Abandoned" - Sawyer's wound becomes life-threatening as he, Michael and Jin make their way through the interior of the island with the tail section survivors. Meanwhile, Shannon is once again haunted by visions of Walt, and Charlie becomes jealous of Locke's interest in Claire, on "Lost," WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 9 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
