Help with Bare Mineral products

I need to buy all new make up so I am thinking of trying Bare Mineral products but don't know where to begin. Which products should I get? Which do you recommend?

I just need make up for my face. I have light complexion and sensitive skin. Thanks!!!!

they have one in roosevelt field, or you can go to sephora.

I find the people at Sephora know more about it than Ulta.

I use the bisque for concealer, then foundation, warmth and feather light mineral veil. Sometimes a touch of blush.

Other threads here suggest a primer.

You can also check out QVC - they have a lot too.

I also recommend getting the starter kit, it pretty much has everything you need. I also suggest going to the Bare Minerals store in Roosevelt Field because they can point you in the right direction as far as what products work best fro your skin type and problem areas/concerns

Re: Help with Bare Mineral products

I'm a Bare Escentuals user and I swear by it, but my co-worker and a few other people I know had a bad skin reaction to it. Personally, I had no problems and I loooooooove the stuff. But you might want to try it on your skin before spending the money on the starter kit. JMO!

I would go to the store and try it first. Lots of people love it but I hated it. I think it only works if you have normal to oily skin. My skin is dry and I looked like I fell into a box of powder with that thing on. Chat Icon

Re: Help with Bare Mineral products

Also make sure you use a good silicone based primer (avoid the Bare Minerals primer- I hated it) if you skin is dry or you have fine lines, large pores etc.
Otherwise the bare minerals will just sink into your pores, dry spots, lines etc and accentuate them

I found a primer makes all the difference!

Same here. They have a rewards card that gets stamped for every $10 you spend. After you get 10 stamps, you get $10 off your next purchase.

I love their Prime Time Primer under my foundation. Before I started using it, the foundation came out uneven, but it solved that problem. I use the primer, foundation, clear radiance face color, and the mineral veil. Definitely get a starter kit to begin. It will come with brushes, which you need.
