Help w/ ovulation/ BD timing...??
Okay so I counted my CD1 as the "full flow day" although I spotted two days prior.
Using CD1 as my full flow day today would be CD10...I did an OPK and got a smiley face...so I am wondering maybe I am actually CD12 (meaning I should have counted my CD1 the day I started spotting???
Isn't CD10 early to get a smiley face?
We  on what I thought was CD8 but may have been CD10 if I count the spotting ...
I guess since I got my smiley I should for the next three days....
Anyone have any expert opinion on this?? TIA

at this point it doesnt really matter anymore what CD you are... once you get the positive OPK you are going to start counting DPO... not CDs...

Right you will o in 12-36 hours... so BD tonight tomorrow and the next day definitely...
i would count cound Wed as 1DPO if it were me.....

if you get to a next cycle.. just on CD 8, 10, 12... and then everyday starting from when you get the smiley on an opks... for about 4 days straight.
That will cover all your bases so you don't have to go through this.
Oh and I would today ASAP!! If you can do it right when you get home from work... I say do it then!!!

No prob... you could just have an early O it doesnt necessarily mean that you are CD10 instead of 8... and by the time you O it will prob be closer to CD12 anyway...
IMHO you are totally good... i wouldnt worry... the whole point of the opk is to let you know before you O... as long as you bd tonight and tomorrow i think youre good...

No I think it is normal! I got my smiley on CD 11 last month! I also stain for 2 days so CD 11 was 11 days after full flow. So I must ovulate around CD 12 or 13. Confusing though right?
Also do you stain after your period too or just before?

I think you might need to start couting starting from the first signs of AF and not waiting for AF to become heavy.
Usually if you are starting to spot, I think the hormone for AF is already there and thus that would be day 1. I could be wrong... but I always counted from first sign that I knew was AF.

I have had a 28 day cycle forever, but when I ttc#1 I O'ed on cd11. So, ur period doesn't necessarily have to do with your O date, kwim?

This confuses me too. I was just talking to some friends about this over the weekend and 2 of their doctors said to count CD1 from the moment you see any blood and another friend said her doctor told her to count CD1 as regular flow day.
