Help please....this may be a siilly ? but....

Hi Girls i am pretty new to this site..I have been lurking for a while on the TTC board..and love how all of you are so supportive of one another ..

Well this is my second month ttc , my tentative o date is the 21st..My question is I feel a horrible cold coming on, sore throat, stuffy nose the works
I am scared to take any medication due to it affecting my chances since i plan on bd'ing like crazy this week


does cold medication affect your chances??

this may be a silly question, but i am totally clueless and hoping one of you can help me tia

not a silly question at all!! actually, medicines with a decongestant in them or a cough suppressant are NOT good for conceiving. so while something like regular robitussin is good because it has a cough expectorant and actually thins out your mucous membranes (which includes CM) anything with a decongestant or a cough suppressant dries up excess mucous - and will also dry up your CM.

i can't think of anything else that is bad for you, maybe someone else on here knows good luck!!
