Help, need expert advice!
Sooo...DH and I are not currently TTC. I am on BCP and that is our only form of BC. On Tuesday I got very nauseous out of nowhere...I thought it was due to something I ate, but the only thing I had was a frozen Mac & Cheese Smart Ones. Since then my stomach hasn't really been right...I woke up at 3am this morning with hideous heartburn and I've had it on and off all day today. Tonight I came home and took off my bra and noticed my breasts are really tender. I've been getting more than enough sleep but I still feel tired. All in all, I think I am fine...but of course my friends are telling me that I'm pregnant and how BCP isn't 100% effective and how they thought they weren't pregnant when they were. I finish up this month's pills on Monday night...due for my period probably a week from today.
Tell me ladies...do you think I'm pregnant???

did u miss any pills? i mean its definitely possible that you are preggs but it could also just be symptoms of AF. Take a test to be sure!

Is it too soon to test?? I have an alarm so that I remember to take my pills every day at the same time...I know its not 100% effective, but I do everything I can to make it as effective as possible.

There's a stomach virus going around right now, so you never know.
Did you throw up a pill this month?
It's possible to get PG on the pill, but it's usually due to user error or some other sort of circumstance like medications that change the effectiveness.
If your period's not due for another week it's a little early for symptoms like heartburn and nausea. But really you won't know until you go to the doctor and do a BT or wait another 7-10 days then take a HPT.
My GYN used to do blood tests any time you wanted (it was $20) if you thought you were PG... I don't know if it was him or if that's kinda common. But they can usually tell within 4 days of implantation based on a BT, so that would be your quickest way to find out if you need to know asap.

I agree. It depends on if you missed a pill or took one late. If you have been on the pill for awhile even if you took one late it is still in your system. Not saying you couldn't get pregnant but I would think you would be ok. The only way you would know is taking a test but I think it is too early for that if you aren't due until next week for af. I think it could be af symptoms also.

First off...I MISS YOOOOU...come back to LIW!! 
Second, thank you so much...I definitely haven't thrown up any pills and I haven't been on any meds. Maybe its a stomach virus...I certainly hope so. While my baby fever is high and undeniable, it really isn't the greatest idea for us to have a baby right now!

LOL awww thanks!! I'm still on LIW but I belong on there as much as I belong on this board... old habits die hard!!! But I'm still making avatars for everyone.  I don't post too much on LIW because I'm a cranky preggo these days... and people piss me off way too easily lately. Oops.
I can definitely be wrong, so don't take my word about this all! The body does strange things... I definitely encourage you to drop in on your GYN's office and do a BT if it's easy enough to do. It's such better peace of mind. When I was having trouble regulating my cycle after going off BC, I had to do a PG test every time I was going to take a kick-start pill -- maybe my GYN was just a little maniacal about BTs (I think maybe their office just got a good insurance kick-back from them or something) but it was a really quick easy process.
Getting PG just isn't THAT easy... at least that's what I've learned... sometimes some people just hit the jackpot, whether they want to or not, though.

I agree with the stomach virus thing.. Last month I was CONVINCED I was pregnant (even my mom thought I was and she doesn't know we are TTC!) and it turns out I just had this awful virus. I would test just for peace of mind though because I am paranoid like that.

idk, i never experienced user error but 2 of my friends have BCP kids.
