Help me to really commit this time!

DD will be 1 on the 30th and I still have quite a few preggo pounds sticking around plus a few more. I would like to lose anywhere from 12-17 pounds and just can't seem to get back to WW. I want to so badly- please help motivate me to get back on the wagon on my planned start date (7/12). I feel like the 12th is going to come and go and I will still not be ready to stick to counting points . . .

Think of how great you'll feel once the weight is gone....
Think of bathing suits....

Re: Help me to really commit this time!

Bri, I'm in the same boat. DD was one in May. I still have about 10 pounds to go before I'm back to pre-preggo weight.

I too was a lifetimer before getting pregnant. I started doing zumba at least once a week with a friend to get me started, but I can't seem to get on track with my point counting.

I had lost about 30 pounds last time I did WW so I know it works..........

Re: Help me to really commit this time!

Bri you can SO do this. There is no reason you can't. It may be a little slower and a little harder to stick to the plan these days but you have to find it within you to make things fresh, new and exciting again.

As you know we have the same start date but I have already started counting my points starting today. I am not sure how many I get just yet but I am getting back into the habit of just weighing, measuring and counting. Keeping track I will worry about later.

Are you going to a meeting on Mondays? Will I see you there or are you still going to the Saturday session? I am not going back on Saturdays until after my maternity leave is over.

If you need a buddy you know I am here. I am really excited about starting back up (well at least for now I am Chat Icon) so perhaps that can help motivate you too!!!

I may be able to swing Monday meetings- you just let me know when and I will see if I can make it work (up until work starts again in the fall.)

For me the huge down fall was the re-adjustment of points once I stopped nursing (after 5 weeks.) I went from losing with like 28 points a day to back to 18 points a day over 4 weeks at 2-3 point intervals. WW was so easy while nursing and once I stopped I felt like a huge failure and just couldn't keep motivated. Also making it to early meetings started to really stink for me because I was so tired from going back to work and then rushing out on Sat. mornings too started getting to me.

I know I am ready to get myself thinner again- as close to pre-pregnancy as possible, but have been really stubborn about counting. I always practice portion control and have never stopped counting points in my head, it is just staying within the points that is a struggle for me because my mind is so trained to eat what I want when I want it now that I find it so hard to go back to the a more structured eating approach. I think my mind is slowly profressing back to that point, but I have said the 12th is it for me to really start back to a T.

We shall see . . .

I totally hear you. 18 is ridiculous. At goal my points were never that low. I don't know how you do it!!! You are certainly not a failure. You just need to get back to it and really commit to the program - you know it works, you just have to do it.

I will send you FM. I messaged Lucia to find out some more info about the meetings. I will send you the details! I was looking for a mommy and me session but it seems like they pretty much got rid of them. I will let you know what she says.
