Help me figure this out...
Today is CD33. I have PCOS and have only O'd once that I know of on my own in the 11 months that we have been ttc. And that one time was the first month after 3 unsuccesful medicated cycles. I assumed the clomid had some residual effects or something. Anyway last cycle was 32 days. I never got a positive OPK though. This cycle I tested from CD7 through CD20something. I probably missed about 5 days from CD26-CD31. Yesterday I picked up the walgreens brand line OPK's because I was feeling some odd possibly O like pains. Yesterday's test was negative but today it is clearly positive, I tested twice too just to be sure. I have no EWCM though.
So is this a real + OPK? And now that I know that OPK's can be used as HPT's I'm really driving myself nuts thinking what if it's a BFP.

Re: Help me figure this out...
if you dont O on your own do you get AF on your own? i have PCOS and my unmedicated cycles are crazy erratic. when i do O on my own i O anywhere from CD30-40 when it does happen on its own. do you have high LH associated with PCOS? i do and i get +OPKS A LOT that don't lead to ovulation. the way i KNOW im ovulating is its the ONLY time i get real EWCM. if i get a +OPK and no EWCM, usually its a sign of high LH and not actual ovulation. this is obvious all unmedicated.
FM me for more info if you want. good luck.
ETA - clomid should not have any lasting effects on future cycles. if you Oed on your own after a medicated cycle, it was just luck.

Hmm.. I would BD and cover your bases because you never know!! As far as if it could be considered a bfp ... Well .. of course I that is the case and if you think that's AT ALL a possibility, I would def double check with an hpt... but until you know for sure, I'd seriously tackle down your dh and
What makes me suspicious about if it's truly indicative of O-ing is having no EWCM But then again, I am not an expert in this area and don't O at all on my own.
I know for me personally (also having PCOS) I would get positive OPKs even when I was not O-ing. But, since you don't have a history of that happening (no positive OPKs last cycle) then I would be cautiously hopeful about this one.. but then again, that's just my little o on own, no med school advice!
I just want this so much for us, it hurts my bones

That's what weird. I do get AF on my own and it's never anything crazy like 50 or 60 day cycles. It's usually around 32-33 days, everyone once in awhile there will be a 40 day cycle. And I never get a bunch of positive OPK's that don't lead to ovulation. I got positive OPK's for one day each of the 3 months I was on clomid and the month after. All 4 of those times I also ovulated. I don't have high LH associated with the PCOS.

I want it for us too! You're right we will just have to to cover our bases and see what happens.
