help me figure out when I actually ovulated??
I am updating my previous post...this one is full of dates and numbers bc i am confused
Thursday afternoon, Friday morning, friday afternoon and saturday morning I got positive OPKs. The darkest line was Friday morning without a doubt...so I would assume I o'd friday evening or saturday morning? I did not get my thermal shift until this morning though (this is my first month temping). Does that mean that maybe I didnt O until yesterday? or is it possible that it takes my body a day or two to have the thermal shift after I o? i know its only a day difference, but i am just trying to get a handle of my cycle.

You can get a positive opk and not ovulate. The opk picks up on a hormone that increases around the time of ovulation. The only way to know for sure is tempting (or being monitored).
Also the opk will tell you that approx 24-36 hours after the positive you "should" ovulate. Did you use the line ope or  ?
You can use a charting program like fertility friend which will help you read your temps. Hth.

I usually assume I o'd the day before the thermal shift.

You probably ovulated yesterday if you had your thermal shift this morning.

just remember you have to have 3 or more days of increased temps though in order to know for sure if that was the day you ovulated. but yes, if you do have those consistant temps, then you ovulated yesteday

oh man...i assumed i ovulated saturday
we didnt dtd sunday bc poor DH was worn out...had him going tues, wed, thurs, fri and sat...he couldnt handle another day without a break lol
i guess there is still hope since sperm can live a few days
my temp was high again this morning...higher than yesterday. ill check again tomorrow and then know for sure that I o'd
