Help!! I am at the end of my rope!
I can not get my DD to take medicine..any medicine!! I have spent hundreds on prescriptions, over the counter meds just to try and get something in her. She has a UTI, it has been nearly impossible to get the antibiotic in her. I am not even sure, when all is said and done how much she has actually gotten. We have tried everything, from hiding it in everything under the sun, to holding her down. Nothin works. Today, she has a fever, which I am guessing is stemming from the UTI. I do not want to take her to the hospital, but I am getting to the end of my rope. We have every liquid tylenol, motrin, advil, in every flavor, we have the meltaway pills in every flavor, motrin in orange, I have even bought the acetaminophen suppositories, which are working, but not as long and I really want to get the motrin in her. She is impossible. I just crushed up the motrin pill and put it in pepsi (which I know is horrible) but it is the only thing I could get her to drink, and even that, she will only drink half because she knows something is in it, I don't know how, but she knows. Does anyone have any other tricks or ways to get medicine in their kid. I can not believe how stubborn she is. I feel like such a horrible mom, because my baby is sick and I just can not get anything in her to get her better. Her fever has been up to 103.8 at its highest today. Help...I am desperate!!

have you tried putting the liquid on a piece of bread and then making a sandwich for her with something she'd love.....pb&j or nutella?

This might sound bad, ut while holding her down, while she is lying down, pour (or even better, iuse one of those syringes) and blow on her face quickly...she should swallow
has she ever tried to stick her finger in the motrin to taste it?? its like candy to my kids
I hope she gets some meds in her and feels better quickly

I wish, she doesn't eat bread. When I make her a sandwich, everything gets ripped off it and the bread is left behind. Thanks!!

I am going to try the blowing in the face tonight, never heard that one. She has tried the motrin pills, but spits them out after 2 seconds.
She is such a stubborn child...she must get this from my husbands side of the family!!

what about those cups? KIDZ cups or something. The rim on them is like candy so they don't taste the medicine as much. You could try that.
