Help from the mommies! 50% effaced?
Hi There!
I know that it could mean nothing- but I went to the doctor today, and she told me that I am 50% effaced. No dilation just yet- but she said my cervix is "very very soft" and the baby's head is really low.
My question is- how long after you were effaced with no dilation did you go into labor?

I sat at 50% from 35 weeks until 40 weeks
ETA: sorry I posted before I finished typing.
It's good that you've had progress though- it means your body is gearing up...

It could happen at anytime now. It all depends on your body. I was 4 cm and 80% efaced for 3 weeks!

I'm not sure if this info will help but when I got to the hospital, I was only 2cm dilated but 90% effaced. They thought I should go home and come back. I was like no way, this hurts way too much. Long story short, I had my son about 12 hours later. I effaced first, but after that I dilated really quickly!

I was 3-4 cm dilated almost 90% effaced for 3 weeks.........you never know

I was 90% effaced and 1-2cm dilated for 3 weeks. Never went into labor, then again I was induced at 38 weeks so who knows.
Good luck!! Either way it won't be long now

i dont think im the norm though...
