HELP! Found my Cat IN the Christmas tree
So last night I was reading in bed and all of a sudden I heard the jingle jangle of christmas ornaments. I figured the cat was under the tree batting at the ornaments.
NOPE! He's in the tree! As soon as he heard me coming he jumped off the side! 
Does anyone have any expierence with this? I tried spraying a pet safe "keep off" spray but clearly that doesn't work.

we secure our to the wall each year with some green wire, so you cant see it. After the first year we had our cat and he climbed up into it and knocked it down. we didnt want to have a repeat performance.
All of my cats that I ever had climbed up into the tree and my mom always secured it. I think they think they are outside!

i am not sure what to do but OMG!
I was putting up our (fake) wreath last night. I placed it on the floor for a second, turned around, I turn back and the cat is EATING it!
they are just so strange!

omggg.. my cat did this once at my parents place.. i remember a loud... help, save me kind of meow.. we all woke up and see two shiny eyes peering through the tree..

when I had cats, they both loved to climb to the top of the tree. I kept a spray bottle handy and squirted them everytime I caught them. They eventually got the hint that they would just get wet and didnt do it anymore. I also secured the tree to the wall w/wire like Lisa said, just in case.

Ohhh yes we do, and our tree is fake so its even more obvious when he decides to use the tree as a climbing toy. Now he wont bother with the tree while we are home but he certainly had a field day in the tree while we were working!
One time we came home to find a gap all along the top of the tree between branches where he must have climbed up to and walked around. Another time we came home to finding mass amounts of ornaments strewn along the floor. LOL
This year he hasnt seemed to have had too much interest with the tree...at least that I know of LOL or he could be getting clever lol

My cat Cindy, who unfortunately passed away in April (RIP my sweet little baby  ), always used to climb on the Christmas tree! She used to love it! She would climb on it, find a nice branch, lay down and fall asleep! She was really tiny though, so she never knocked the tree down. I miss her...
