Help- AF cycle related (may be tmi)

Ok- I feel like I go through this every month- so I apologize in advance if Im driving you all crazy!!

I went off BCP 2 months ago (mainly because of weight gain and anxiety issues) The 1st month was fine- AF came a few days early- but was just like a normal cycle...

This month- well its been a little tricky... I was due for AF on Thursday- and yet today is Monday and still no AF...

I had unprotected sex the sunday before I was due for AF (so 4 days before AF was due- this was the only time we had sex this months -oh the joys of being a stressed out working mom) I did "pull and pray" and Im 90% positive I o'd the week and half before... (which is why I was "ok" with what we did) which should put me almost in the clear (yes- trust me I know nothing is 100%)

I tested on Sat. and got a BFN- however I kinda feel like if god forbid I was pg. it would be to early to test...

Can someone help me figure out wth is going on?? The girl I usually "cycle" with got AF over the weekend- so Im starting to get a little nervous...

The only thing I can think of is maybe my pd is A) trying to make up for coming early last month B) trying to cycle with someone else...

Couldve I o'd that close to AF? Could Ive O'd twice?

Thanks so much!

(I also wanna add I just refilled my BCP because going off didnt change a thing- actually made things worse if that possible...Chat Icon )

AF is determined by when you o'd. Are you sure you o'd? How many days ago did you o? It is normally 14 days after that, but coming fof the pill it sometimes takes several months to be regular again.

Im pretty sure I o'd- but Im really no expert... And I wanna say it was about 2-2.5 weeks ago...

I mean with my BFN am I in the clear ? Or considering when we "got togther" is it still to early to test?

Again my missed period was Thursday?? I just dont wanna keep buying test after test if its still to early???

If you were due Thurs and got a BFN on Sat, I think you are in the clear.

I just wanted to add though that taking only 2 months off of BCP may not be enough time for all the side effects you were experiencing to go away.

Even if technically I wouldve only conceived a week ago?

And I know you are right about the side effects- but the weight gain from going off was horrid, and as far as my anxiety goes.. I am 90% sure it is work realtedChat Icon

Ah well if your symptoms off of the BCP were bad too, then you might as well go back on like you said, since that way you won't have to go through PG scares each month. (I've been there too!)

If you conceived a week ago, then yeah, it would be too early to test. But it sounds like you should have ovulated way before a week ago. Of course, being that it was only your second month off the pill, things could be out of wack, which is why you are unsure.

I would say assume you are not PG, based on your last cycle, but if AF doesn't show by thursday, test again. It still might be too early for a conception that took place last week, but at that point you pretty much have confirmation that your cycle was off by a week this month and that there is indeed a chance that you could have conceived at that time. Then, unfortunately you'd have to wait and test again.

Good luck! Chat Icon For what it's worth, I think you are probably in the clear.

If you o'd when you think you did then you are in the clear. But if you o'd a week late then no, stress can cause the delay of ovualtion but not the dealy of AF. You will get AF 10-14 days after ovulation depending on your cycle. Also being off the pill for only 2 months, you could have never o'd this month.

So when would be a "safe" time to test again?

Why would I O last month and not this month?

This has been a very very stessful month or 2- so im sure that play a role...
