help!!!
Hi girls,
I am in hiding, and I am really confused.
I was on the pill for about 10 years. I went off after we got married. That was a few months ago. For the first 2 months, my cycle was normal. Now it has been over 50 days since I had my period.
On Wednesday, I started spotting, it was pink and mucus like. Then it was pink and no mucus. Then brownish, then nothing. And this is the way it has been since on and off...
I have no idea when I ovulate since my cycle is so weird. Is it possible that I haven't ovulated? How can I tell when I do ovulate?
Do you think this is my period trying to come? Or do I need to get a test?
As you can tell I am clueless!!
Thank you all so much!!!

Re: help!!!
this could definitely be your period, it can definitely take awhile for your cycle to normalize after coming off birth control. i would wait, if it turns out to be a period, great, and keep track of your cycles. if not, you may want to see your ob/gyn. if you've been BD since coming off the pill, you may want to check a pregnancy test, too, just to be sure!
good luck!

Re: help!!!
could be - if its implantation bleeding then the hpt should be positive pretty soon, thats when the hcg hormone starts being detectable in your blood and urine ... why not try now?? if its a bfn, and if the bleeding doesnt turn into a regular period, give it a few days then try to test again

Re: help!!!
Kind of sounds like you might be pregnant. Maybe that's why you haven't seen AF in over 50 days. I would test. Good luck!!

Re: help!!!
It might take a few months for you to start "O"ing again. Your body is trying to adjust back to normal. Don't stress out, if you feel like testing just do it.
Good Luck!!

Re: help!!!
pink and brown mucus might be implantation--though I had the brown stuff this month and sadly it was not. I'd wait a few days from when you saw the spotting and test. I really hope it's a BFP for you.

Re: help!!!
Just to make this even more confusing... before I was on the pill, I never had a regular cycle!!
Today we BD hoping to trigger AF, still no signs of her.
No more pink, just brown a little bit on and off.
How long could implantation bleeding last?

It can last a few weeks. Some women even spot throughout the first weeks, first trimester, or even the whole pregnancy. Everyone is different. I would test and see what's up.......even if it's a BFN I would test again in a few days if AF doesn't show.

This should answer your question.
Can I ovulate without having a period?
Since a woman releases an egg 12-16 days before her expected period, it is possible for women to get pregnant without having periods. Women who are not menstruating due to a certain condition (i.e.…low body weight, breastfeeding, perimenopause) risk the chance of ovulating at any point. For those who want to conceive, the lack of periods could make it more difficult to know the timing of ovulation if you are not charting temperature and cervical fluid changes. But if you are not having periods and wanting to prevent pregnancy, a form of contraception should be used since there is no way to know when ovulation will occur.
