Help! 3 month old suddenly waking at night!
Dd has been sleeping through the night for about a month now (yes, I realize how lucky I am!). But for the past few nights, she has been waking to eat. I guess it's to eat bc she takes down a bottle no problem! The first day it happened was at 5am, next day 4am, and now last night 3am!!! Ugh... We are NOT going to go back to newborn phase again
Has this happened to anyone else or might know why this is happening?

No advice here but wanted this say DD is 2.5 months and she is like that to.not yet sleeping all night but 8 hours one night then the next up every 2hours then next night every 3. No pattern yet for us. Maybe LO is going thru growth spurt and is just more hungry ?

i agree, i would be a growth spurt. dont stress too too much, it may just be a temporary phase. hang in there!

Definitely could be a growth spurt... If so, it should only be temporary.
In DS's case, I think he just got so used to waking up for a bottle that it became a habit more than necessity... So I slowly started reducing the amount of ounces in his middle of the night bottle. By the time he got to 2 ounces, he discovered sleeping on his belly and now he is a dream sleeper again. Regardless of the reason, I am sure it is just a phase and will hopefully pass soon!!

It should be temporary. Did she learn how to roll over recently? When DD learned how to roll over, she woke up in the middle of the night for several nights to practice.

She recently went from her back to her side quite a few times the other day and I haven't reall seen it since. She also just started to grab for objects. Maybe all that has been overload!

My DD was the same way at 4months, for the past 3 weeks she's been eating at night.

I would say growth spurt and fairly normal. Go with it and pray it passes quickly!

I went through the same thing with DD. She STTN for a month consistently and then it stopped at 3.5 months. From what I read, it seems very normal. It's been a few weeks and she's starting to go back to STTN some nights but not consistently at all. Hopefully it will pass quickly but I would definitely continue to feed her if she's taking a full bottle.

Re: Help! 3 month old suddenly waking at night!
Sounds like my DS. He is 5 months but 3 month corrected age (he was 9 weeks premature.) He had been sleeping through the night from about 9pm to about 5:30-6am, but he has been waking as well during the night. I'm thinking its either a growth spurt or the start of teething since he's been drooling a lot and always has his hands in his mouth. He gets up eats and then goes back to sleep. Last night he was up at 12 (I gave him a bottle and he went back to sleep) and then again at 3 (he talked himself back to sleep). Then he was up at around 5:30-6 this morning. I'm hoping this is a growth spurt and ends soon because I start back to work next week!

She already corrected herself! Thanks girls. We're back to sleeping 9-10 hrs straight!!! Yes, I consider myself very blessed and know I'm in for it when the teething begins... Ah...
