Heading out east
On Sunday for our Anniversary..
We have 11 o'clock reservations for brunch @ Cooperidge Inn (yum!) and we are thinking of maybe heading out to the light house...
Any suggestions on what to do while we are out there..
It has to be kid friendly since we will have DS with us!

Greenport has a carousel that your ds would like as well as walking around the village and docks. There is also a little shopping area on the north road a little east of Cooperidge that has build-a-bear and some other stuff.

Happy Anniversary! I live in Mattituck which is on the north fork too, so you'll be passing me! To get to Greenport (not Greenpoint- if you mapquest directions to there you'll be heading west I think) you take the LIE east to the end and just keep heading east. You're going to be a little over 30 mins (more probably w/ traffic on the weekend) to get to Greenport- you can just stay on the main road the entire time. HTH!

You can go horseback riding in Montauk. They have a farm just past the main "strip" in Montauk (on your right hand side). Your son can go on a pony! They take you down beautiful paths and to the beach! BEAUTIFUL!
We did that for our anniversary- they have a variety of animals too which is fun. On the way out there you could stop (or on the way back) at the LI Game Farm- that's fun for you, DH and DS.
They also have kayaking tours, shopping, fishing on the charter boats, mini golf (right in Montauk), etc!
