Headaches in Children
My DD is 10- she has been getting bad headaches for as long as i can remember- years. I took her to get her vision checked in 1st grade- it was ok, but they gave her glasses for focusing. it subsided a little, then came back- i took her back for a re-check a few months ago- same thing- good vision, just focusing- new glasses. Its not helping. She gets headaches 3x a week some weeks, to the point where she just lays down and goes to sleep. she has an apt for a physical next week & i made an apt for a neurologist at the end of April. Does anyone have experience with this- suggestions? I thought maybe dry heat, tired, etc- but there is no consistancy as to when she gets them

Re: Headaches in Children
My cousin is 18 and has been suffering with migraines since she was about 4 years old. It's awful.
Has she had her neck alignment checked? DH had a friend in HS who had chronic headaches. She had her neck realigned and not another single headache.
Also, make sure she is well hydrated. I can attribute 90% of my own personal headaches to dehydration.

Re: Headaches in Children
I had severe headaches around that age... and I had pretty bad sinusitis. I was antibiotics for a little bit and it cleared right up. It took a while for them to diagonse it.. and even suggested that I was pretending to get attention from my parents anyway, it cleared right up..
