Headaches?

I've had a god awful headache for 3 days now. I took some tylenol but it didn't do anything - I vaguely remember having this problem when I was PG with Alex.

Anyone else? What do you take or do to alleviate the pain?

Re: Headaches?

I have been having massive headach since friday. I think they are migrains. I've been throwing up from these headachs. The light and sound kills my head!! I put a cold pack on my head and lay in the dark and that helps just a little. Hope your headachs go away soon!!Chat Icon

for me - it was a sinus headache...in my temples and made me want to DIE....

Zyrtec was the only thing that helped....

Same with me! When I get one, which seems like every other day lately, i have to shut off all the lights otherwise it's worse. I take a Tylenol, drink a bottle of water and try to lay down. Tylenol didn't really work for me before i got pg, but it's all i have right now.

Tylenol, sudafed, sleep, humidifier, benadryl, caffeine, saline spray in the nose. I had terrible headaches up to around 20 weeks.

Re: Headaches?

I had one for 2 days and I finally gave in and took a Tylenol extra strength and thankfully it helped.

It's back now. Not terrible, but a dull ache. Blah.

Re: Headaches?

I would wash down the tylenol w/ coffee or a coke. The caffeine defintately helped.

Drank a lot of water. If you have MS, you could be dehydrated.

Re: Headaches?

It is probably a combination of hormone surges right now and dehydration.

Make sure you are drinking enought water. A normal adult NOT PG needs a minimum of 64 ounces of water a day. A PG woman should be drinking at least double that. At 36 weeks PG I need to drink about 6 liter of water to stay hydrated.

If you aren't dehydrated I found that my last resort to get rid of a headache was an extra strength tylenol and a little caffeine (like 1/2 can of coke)

Feel better!!
