He hates regular food
Puffs and baby food.
This is not what a 1 year old should be eating, right?
I've tried waffles, pancakes, pasta... He wants nothing to do with it.
Jared was a picky eater and I swore that I would introduce foods to Nikolas and try to get him to eat more things. But it looks like he's repeating his brother's eating habits.
Any advice?

I just read it can take up to 10 introductions before some kids will even try something new. Keep on offering him the foods over and over again.

Abby was and still is a tough eater. I have used a few things to help her make the transition.
Cubes of: Avocado Sweet potatoes Regular potatoes Banana Carrots (canned or fresh but NOT frozen)
She is coming along FABULOUSLY!
Also, try cream cheese on a Ritz Cracker.

Re: He hates regular food
My daughter was like this too!
She loved her jars and mashed up fruits when she was one and even months later - many months later.
I didn't push her too much - although i really couldn't wait to get rid of those jars and have her eat adult food! She slowly started taking a liking to pastina, meatballs, bread, cheerios, and i found out that she loves everything rich in flavor. For example fries with ketchup, lasagna - she loves red sauce and ricotta, she loves hamburgers cut up - but till this day will not get steak , streaded chicken or cutlets - she is lazy to chew and doesn't like anything dry in constinency.
She is definitely picky - my oldest ate everything and i mean everything!
I think it was mostley because she is a very lazy eater. I had her take a likely to cut up fruits first - like strawberries, grapes and she eventually started liking the chewing part! Plus I started offering more adult food and when she saw there was nothing else to eat - she knew she had to try it!
good luck!

Re: He hates regular food
Welcome to my world. My DS is 22 months. He lives on cereal, oatmeal, applesauce, bagels, bread and crackers. Of course he will eat cookies and goldfish too. It's incredibly frustrating. My one consolation is that he loves milk, so I feel like at least he is getting some protein. I finally just went cold turkey on the baby food at about 14 months because it was way overdue.
Today DH and I were practically doing cartwheels because I got him to eat 1 and 1/2 chicken nuggets. I am getting to the point where I don't even care if he eats healthy things if he will just TRY something new.
