HCG Shot HELP!!!!

OK....before I totally freak out and have a breakdown....

I have been preparing DH for having to give me this shot for three days now. He has been a basketcase but thats another thread all together... So, I get the call from nurse and she gives me all the info for ER on Sunday. then she tells me I need to do Novarel shot tonight at 12:30am (yawn). So I start cofirming what I know but I wanted to clarify what needle to use and she says the little needle to which I was So I start "arguing" saying you mean I was freaking DH out over nothing? Then I said but I watched the video you gave me and it says intramuscular....she reassures me at least twenty-five times that it is subcutaneous. Fine...So I get home and look at the Novarel box and it clearly states on the box and on the vial "For Intramuscular Use Only." And then i watch the video again and it clearly says it is a Intramuscular injection. Then I read the paperwork I got from the RE on directions for HCG/Novarel and it says subcutaneous.

So before I call the nurse on call and sound like a loony can anyone reassure me that Novarel is a nice easy shot in the belly and not my DH stabbing me the butt!!!!

It is 100% Subcutaneous! All the meds say intramuscular use on the boxes.

Im POSITIVE. No worries. It s nice easy and fast painless( I hope ) shot.

Its definately sub-cu....I went through the same thing with them when I had mine and was reassured by both doc and nurse that even though the box says IM- its sub-cu !!!...Good Luck at ER !!!

Oh your poor DH. We really freak them out don't we.

TY all who responded. All went well with the shot last night (this morning ). Actually, I had the potential to screw it up but didnt...I started the "process" at 12:15 and figured I'd get it all mixed up and prepared and at 12:30, I'd just shoot it in. So I bring my laptop into the kitchen, start playing the video insructions, start swabbing, mixing, changing needles and then "BAM" I give myself the injection. No sooner am I done but I realize I didnt check the clock to make sure it was "time". I feel that initial moment of panic, until I glace up at the clock and it was EXACTLY 12:30am. I guess DH saw my relief because he said "You forgot to look at the clock before you did that huh?" To which I replied "When you're good, you're good!"
