HCG level

the doctor called with the blood test results, they confirmed that i am pregnant and they said the hcg level was at 39 and want me to retest wednesday because that number seems low. I told her I was only 10DPO. Is 39 normal for being just 10 days or is that number not good? Im a little worried now that it's too low

Re: HCG level

I'm not a MD but to me, that number sounds right on target. At 10DPO a lot of women don't even get a + on a pregnancy test (which usually is looking for a beta of 25).

Re: HCG level

that number sounds totally fine to me. also, remember that the range for beta values is HUGE, and your value definitely falls in that range... so i'm not sure why they're concluding that it's low Chat Icon overall i wouldn't worry about it at all Chat Icon

Re: HCG level

Dont quote me either, byt you are only 10DPO, so thats sounds fine to me I think.
I went 14 DPO and mine was 97.
So I think you are ok.
You are just very early.
No worries!Chat Icon

Re: HCG level

39 is not low for 10dpo, but as a Dr. To them its low and I think its a good sign that they want to test to be proactive. Sound slike you will be Fine! Chat Icon

Re: HCG level

I've been looking at betas all day (i found mine out today, too), and that doesn't seem low at all. You tested at 10dpo. At that time, so many women don't even get a positive HPT. I would try not to worry, you seem to be on track.

My beta was 59 at 12 dpo. I think you are fine, they just want to check in 48 hours to confirm your level is about doubling. congrats!

Re: HCG level

Most doctors won't even test until you miss your period so I think that level is fine. Most people won't get a BFP until 14 DPO and miss AF
They want to see the numbers double...that will be the good sign.
