Have you ever watched a thread...
.. slowly turn into a train wreck?
You read it, and then theres one post that sort of brings it under... then there are more innocuous posts that keep it above water again... and the post almost slips by undetected, then someone jumps on it... then more innocuous posts... then someone responds to the responded post... then someone else does... and the innocuous posts answering the OP start to fade away, and you just rub your face and say.... hoo boy, here we go....

Usually those kinds of threads happen on Friday. Maybe it is starting early because it is a holiday weekend.
