When I was in school, I used to go by myself all the time. I had to take one particular class that only had a late afternoon session when all my other classes ended around noon. I wasn't about to spend all that time studying or anything

Sometimes when I was single and took the occassional mental health day, I'd go to a movie in the afternoon by myself..

I don't think I've ever paid to go alone. When I used to work at a movie theater I would sometimes go by myself on my days off. Or if DH was working. ETA - DH worked there to, so I was basically going to see him, but would watch a movie when he was busy.

I did once, I always said I was going to do it more, I got out early on Fridays in teh summer used to work near a Theatre, but either I was workign alte, busy, or there was nothing good playing.

Thats funny you said that because I am on modified bedrest and my mom jut toldme to go to a movie and I was like "by myself"? Maybe I will who knows

I have. The last one I went to see was RENT. DH had no interest at all in seeing it. I went and met him after he got out of work.

I have, a few times. I'd take the train into Manhattan and make a day of it. There would often be many people there alone.

I've done it a lot - usually to kill time between classes when I had a looooong break one semester. I got to see a LOT of really good chick flicks that way!!!!
