yup... we had been together for lke 8 months, and we just needed some space. And, i was moving to the Hamptons for the summer, so you know how that goes 
it lasted abotu 3 months, and i think it was the best thing for both of us and our relationship

Yes, dh and I dated for 3 years (we were 13 and 16), broke up for 5 yrs and then got back together and got engaged a year later and married 2 yrs later.

Yep, DH and I had gotten together 3 months after his engagement was broken off. We dated for a year and a half then broke up for 5 months. We got engaged a year after we got back together and got married a year after that. Honestly, for us, breaking up was the best thing that could have happened for us.....it made us so much stronger and better

yes.....we were together for about 1 year and I was working nights all the time & he was working early mornings & it was getting to be very difficult to see each other. I would stay in Queens with my friend (a female friend) to avoid commuting back & forth to work, and he got insanely jealous & was like, well how do I know that is where you are? I was ****** & so overworked I just did not want to deal with it. It only lasted about 6 days though & we got back together when the dust settled.

We didn't. I told my DH as soon as we started dating that if we break up it will be for good. I don't do the back and forth thing.

Yes. SO and I broke up for about 3 months last year Feb - May. The toughest part is that we stayed in the same house together. Really long story and really difficult situation. We got back together after I took a trip to NY for a couple of days. Been good ever since.

Nope. Never. We've honestly been inseparable since we met. Emotionally speaking, that is. We did live in separate states two times in our relationship, but it was so good for us.

We took a break that lasted all of 2 days, and it was really indistinguishable from not being broken up because he lived in PA at the time and we still talked on the phone and still said "i love you." then we both went to dinner on v-day at my best friend's place and couldn't keep our hands off each other. so much for a break

We've broken up plenty of times, but we also started dating when I was 17 and he was 18- so we still had a lot of growing up to do. I think our breakups were important for us as a couple because we were able to grow on our own and still always found our way back to each other.

3 times and our time spent w/out each other was 2/3 months tops. He was going through a stage and I was ready, different levels.
It needed those breaks to realize what he or I wanted and in the end it was each other.
Total roller coaster relationship but the best ride for me.

DH and I broke up for about 6 months before we were married. It was his choice. I was pretty miserable, but I just knew that we would get back together. We did and a year later we were engaged.

No, but we got into a big fight when we first started dating (like 6 months or so) and i was pretty sure for at least a day that it was over between us. It was a stupid arguement looking back on it. But in the last 5 years...nope....never a thought in my mind.
