anyone hear about Hatchimals?
Is it true they are a hot toy this year? I overheard parents talking at the bus stop about this toy.

Hatchimals is what they are called. They are sold out everywhere. I stumbled across them at BJ's the day they came out and bought it, and luckily it's on my DD's list!

I've been trying for over a week to get one and no luck. I'm about to give up because I can't be bothered with paying more than they are worth and going crazy over stalking the stores etc.

They aren't $140 on Ebay. Amazon has individual sellers that price their own items. they are $45-$60 in the store

Right but sold out in stores.
They are in the Target Toy Catalog for $49.99 but you can't put it in your cart and it says not available in stores near you for pick up either.

Right but sold out in stores.

That really annoyed me this week. Dont advertise and put on sale if you can't actually buy them.

I actually purchased 2 for my nieces back before they came out on pre order on amazon in anticipation they would want them since they were on all the hot lists for Christmas.
They of course both want them but I want sell them to make a profit lol

I was at Target this morning at 8am to use the toy coupon and there were 2 people asking about this toy. I never heard of it, but the guy said they were out of stock and didn't know when they would receive more. He said he's been getting so many requests, they're going to start announcing it on the loudspeaker they are out of stock.

LOL...well I had bought FOUR in case anyone I knew wanted them. I ended up returning 3 to BJ's recently, and the lady said they had calls all day for them. I felt like saying give them back! LOL

My son showed me a you tube video with this toy 2 weeks ago & I thought it was such a crap toy. Of course, he wants one but for $50 I don't feel it's worth it anyway.

it is very hot, you basically have to be IN the store when they are unloading the stock - they only get a few in and people are purchasing them all
I think it's pretty expensive for what it is and also, if you read the reviews from people it's a crappy toy that doesn't even work well (they don't usually hatch like they are supposed to, you have to peel the eggshell off to get the toy)

She can wait until her birthday in June.
By then they should be available everywhere.
For a toy she'll play with for 2 days and be done with it, it's not worth my stress. If something is not readily available via target.com or Amazon, I don't get it.
I can't get stressed over toys, there are too many other things I have to be stressed about.
