Has anyone gotten rid of a medicine cabinet in favor of just a mirror?
DH and I are (FINALLY!) having our bathroom re-done. We were talking about the possibility of not replacing the medicine cabinet and just putting a mirror there instead. Has anyone done this in your "main" bathroom (we have a half bath too, and we never even open that medicine cabinet, so when we someday do that room, there will def. be only a mirror, but we use the full bath more).
If you only have a mirror, do you miss the cabinet part?

Good for you! I just had my heinous old bathroom redone.
Do you have any other storage in the bathroom or close by?
We just did this and I dont miss it b/c we have 2 big closets right outside the bathroom. And I was keeping a minimal amount of things in the med cab anyway since my kids are small (but not too small to poke around). I do have wall cabinet over the toilet which we store some things. WIthout some kind of storage nearby I would probably miss it but with my set up I don't.

we dont have a medicine cabinet, just one big mirror and we are going to redo the bathroom soon and just have a smaller mirror. We are adding a towel tower in the bathroom and we have a large closet in the bathroom.

We did I hate medicine cabinets they are hard to clean and I just dislike them
We removed the cabinet and hung a gorgeous decorative mirror. We put our crap in the linen closet

We are going to have a decorative mirror above our sink in the bathroom. I plan to store things in the vanity drawers/cabinets.

I did...THANK GOD. I put pictures in the community album. We did put a cabinet above the toilet though. I LOVE my mirror

In all omy bathrooms I have just mirrors no medicine cabinet on the wall.

Me too. I store all of the mediciines in my vanity drawers or in baskets in the linen towers.

Thanks everyone! We have a good sized closet right outside the bathroom where I keep a lot of my hair/makeup stuff. We have enough space for a 36 inch vanity so that should be plenty of storage.
