Has anyone asked to work part time and be turned down?
I recently switched jobs. My hours are a lot better than my last job. I don't know if it is better or worse that I have only been at this position for 2 months and asking to work part time.
I am DYING to work part time.
WWYD if you were me?
I don't want my boss to say no and it be awkward.

IMO, they would never let anyone in my office who had only been working there 2 months go to P/T. If they had wanted a P/Ter, they probably would have advertised it like that before they hired. I would take some more time to prove yourself before asking.

At a new job, I would not advise it. You may also keep in mind that many people who work part time end up being assigned a full time workload on part time salary. At least that is what happens a lot in my field. Can you wait a year or so?
