Happy to announce...
After a year and a half including 2 IUI cycles and 3 IVF cycles I got my bfp back in August and am now 12 weeks pregnant.
The last IVF cycle was definitely different. Before this cycle I couldn't imagine ever seeing a positive HPT or getting the call that my beta was positive but this cycle I could imagine it. This cycle I was more relaxed and didn't get worked up. Everything went smoother, my response to the drugs went better, my retrieval was more successful, and the quality of embryos were much better.
I don't know if my attitude had anything to do with my success this time but it certainly kept me more emotionally balanced.
Good luck to all, Patricia

Thanks ladies! Even though I may not have posted here much - I found this site an amazing support system. It was so great to know I wasn't alone in what I was going through or feeling.

Wow that's awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just the post I needed to read. I just failed by second IVF cycle. It's wonderful that your third cycle worked. Were they all fresh cycles? Did you do a different protocol? What are your issues? How did you pick your self up again to do another cycle? Sorry for all the questions. Just feeling down right now.

Just some more encouragement - I read that there is over a 70% chance of getting pg withing 3 cycles of IVF at a proven clinic! So good luck to you!
They were all fresh cycles. The first two cycles I had PGD testing done but the third I did not. Some doctors at my practice speculate that my embryos did not do well with the necessary biopsy for the testing. My issues were AMA (I am now 38), I have one completely blocked tube and I have a large-ish fibroid (which is on the outside of my uterus so my doctor said it shouldn't be interfering with getting pg but who really knows?).
So with the last cycle, aside from not doing PGD, I was pretty aggessive with transferring 4 5-day blasts. But we were willing to take the chance on multiples. I am pregnant with a singleton.
Regarding having the strength to keep going on - I think I had the mindset of it was going to happen I just didn't know how many times I would have to do IVF to get pg. Personally, I did not have hard time physically going thru IVF. Doing the injections came very easy to me - I did them myself - including some of the PIO's when my husband had to work. I didn't have much of a reaction to the medications either. The retrievals were not an issue and of course the transfers were a breeze. So I just had to deal with the emotional issue of the let down of the failures. But like I said - I guess I just knew it would happen - eventually.
Hang in there!
