Was supposed to train a new person we hired this morning... but he called out sick.

My thought and hope would be he is legitimately sick like can't get out of bed sick. If that's the case I would rather them call in then come and get me sick

I came in today because it is my day to oversee the junior accountants and both called out sick. Could have worked from home instead of traveling in this rain

Yes and that would be my luck ! I just have that kind of bad luck.
Let's hope he really is very sick and it couldn't be helped.
