We go to my parents' house, b/c they live in a much better trick or treating neighborhood - with sidewalks.

We live in CT and my parents live in NY. Normally they just see pictures of DS in his costume. However, last year, we had no power for almost a week with the big storm. My parents took DS for the week since our daycare was closed and we were staying with FIL during the power outage. My parents took DS trick or treating. I was so sad we missed out on Halloween although we did take him to a Halloween event with trick or treating the weekend before that.

Halloween & grandparents
My parents live in FL so they will only get pics and my IL will have to drive to us if they want to see him. I am not driving DS all around the island since it would be 2 different towns not right next to each other.
I will probably take the day and take DS to daycare parade and then ToT

My MIL is JW and doesn't care for Halloween. So I just text her a pic and thats it.
My mom sometimes comes to the house on Halloween and comes along TOT. If shes doesn't come then I send her a pic.

We usually go trick or ttreating by my parents cause they live in a development with hardly any car traffic where we and my inlaw live on a busy road...and i invite my inlaws to come over with us

First year we had a 1 st bday party that day. So my parents were at the party so they go to see DD.
Year #2- we stopped by both parents (it was on a sunday)
Year #3 I met my sister at my moms and we did ToTing there, passed by inlaws
this year- DD is going to have school probably in the morning so I have no clue.

Halloween & grandparents
I had forgotten about the older kids that go out at night... one year our house got egged on the window and door.
I guess growing up Halloween was one of my most favorite holiday memories. I always got to go trick or treating with my sister or the kids my age on my block. I got to go to so many blocks in my neighborhood. Now we take our kid for alot of walks in our neighborhood it was fun taking him TOT to all the houses he was familiar with passing by last year.

We go to my BIL/SIL's house for Halloween, they have a great neighborhood to TOT in. My MIL comes over too.
My mom is OOT and is sometimes in town for Halloween...if she is, she'll go to BIL's too.
I would not be schlepping my kids far just to see grandparents...they could come to the kids!

Halloween & grandparents
We have a small family Halloween party at our house the weekend before. All the grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins come and get dressed up and have fun.
Then on Halloween We go trick or treating at our house. My in laws also have a parade that we do at night- it starts at 7 so its already dark and past trick or treating time.
