hair help please!!

i really want to either get JHS or Brazilian.. I have been doing JHS for 10 plus years now and haven't done it now in over a year!
The problem is, i'm currently breastfeeding.. i don't really want to wait the year to get it done because i need the extra time in the morning of not having to blow out my hair..
I am willing to not breastfeed him for 24 to 48 hours and pump and dump if possible
which is worse?
I'd love the brazilian because i want to keep some volume.. but the formaldehyde?????

my salon was telling me of a 24 hour brazilian.. you can wash it after that.. if that at all safe? i can't find anything on the web about what will happen to the baby..if anything
Is anyone a hairdresser who can educate me on this?
thanks!

I don't know much, but I do know there is a version of the Keratin treatment (Brazilian) that does not contain formaldehyde. If and when I finally decide to do it, that's what I'll be going for Chat Icon

As per my hair dresser and my colorist.. this is not exactly true... There IS a version that has less formaldehyde, but it still has some.

My old boss did the 24 hour treatment... apparently that has the highest level of formaldehyde.

I don't have children, so never breast fed, but I THINK (without having done any research on the matter), if it was me, I'd do the japanese and wear a mask during the process. The chemicals aren't touching your scalp, so nothing is being absorbed into your body.

thanks.. i'm starting to lean towards the JHS because it doesn't touch the scalp.. i guess i'll just have to live with the flat hair ...
