Had my 1st mammogram I have a question
I always get a ultrasound after a mammogram because of family history. But at my 1st mammogram they warned me before going into the room that I shouldn't be surprised if they call me back for another so they have something to compare. Also if you have dense breasts they make you get a sono since it's more accurate.

Yes I had to do that. Sometimes the breast tissue is too dense so they can't quite see and need to to ultrasound. In my case I did the ultrasound then needed to follow up with the ultrasound to ensure there were no changes in the mass they saw. All was fine, it end up just being a mass of dense breast tissue
