Gymboree vs. The Little Gym
My twins are approaching 5 months & my husband & I were thinking of taking them to classes. Has anyone been to Gymboree and/or The Little Gym? If so, what age was your child when you started to go and what were your thoughts?

We went to TLG with our older son. We started when he was right around a year, maybe just over. We loved it! We had a great experience there!! Wewent to the Merrick one.

Re: Gymboree vs. The Little Gym
We did trial classes at both when DS was 6 months and ended up at The Little Gym. I highly recommend doing the free trials as that will give you a better idea of what works best for your family.

How much would you say each place costs? DS is almost 18 months old.

Re: Gymboree vs. The Little Gym
i live in NJ... but I take DS to The Little Gym. Hes 26 months and really, really likes it! its fun, and they try to teach them things in a low-pressure way ( they start and end with a "circle time", but they don't mind if your child would rather play around on the gym stuff during that time.) every week is alittle bit different- sometimes they do a parachute activity, sometimes they do a blow-up "track" thing. They have different themes, like the past few weeks have been "colors", and next week starts "music". DS is our only, and home with me for right now- so its good for him to be around other kids and learn to take turns on the activities, not to grab balls out of other kids hands, etc. I haven't been to gymboree so can't compare it to that- but i've been happy. Most TLGs do a free trial class- so it can't hurt to call and set one up! As far as cost- again, i'm in NJ... but i paid about $700 to go once a week from like early october through June. They charge you less if you join late in the "season".

Re: Gymboree vs. The Little Gym
I went to both and picked Gymboree. I loved our two teachers so far! Both have done broadway and the singing is amazing. I had to wait to get into a class though!
My gym was less organized, less creative... Just didn't like it as much.
